The British history professor Peter Lavell and the French engineer Patrick Nevreux are still on the search for secrets of lost cultures. Now, a codex of the Maya and an antique scroll found in Alexandria shed a new light on some ancient legends and both scientists come to the conclusion that the legendary continent of Atlantis can now be found.

They set up an expedition. Northeast of the Caribbean and in ten thousand feet depth they seek to find traces of the famous empire. Immediately, they become focus of the media. They become watched by the AUTEC military base and followed by the ruthless Cuban treasure hunter González. Soon their expedition is disrupted by sabotage and without explanation the NSA gives orders to stop their investigation. The search for a possible common origin of all cultures is all about to fail. But in the meantime they have made a breathtaking discovery on the ocean floor. So, amidst a heavy storm they decide to start a risky dive ...

This is the final part of the adventures of Peter and Patrick, which had started in Southern France and Egypt.

This is the last novel of the "Project" series, following "Project: Babylon" and "Project: Saqqara". Although all three books belong to a series they can be read separately. Of course, it's more fun to meet "old friends" from the other books ...
